Lianne Megarry, owner and operator of the Dark Horse, lives with her family in an old stone house on a farm in Sunderland. She says, “I see a painting waiting to happen from every window in my house; the challenge is to find the time to paint them all.”
Lianne enjoys painting landscapes and abstracts equally. Her weapon of choice is often the palette knife to bring the painting to life. Her sense of humour comes out loud and clear with her renditions of farm animals.
Lianne is also expanding into photography and mixed media, both of which you can see at The Dark Horse as well as at Katie’s Café and Century House Grill in Sunderland,
She has shown at The MacKay House in Unionville for several years and at The Sunderland Art Festival and Brock’s Big Bite among other shows.
